Рассмотрим случаи, когда после подлежащего стоит именное сказуемое (глагол to be + н-р, существительное/прилагательное):

We have been married for 5 years. (been — измененный to be)

I have never been to Japan.

Brian has been in hospital for a week.

Как образуем утвердительные предложения (affirmatives):

I/we/you/they    have been   busy/married/(a) friend(s)

He/she/it   has been     busy/married/a friend

Примеры утвердительных (affirmatives):

  1. I have been married for 5 years.
  2. We have been married for 5 years.
  3. They have been married for 5 years.
  4. You have been married for 5 years.
  5. He has been married for 5 years.
  6. She has been married for 5 years.

Как образуем вопросительные предложения (interrogatives):

Have  I/we/you/they  been busy/married/a friend(s)..?

  Has   he/she/it          been busy/married/a friend (s)..?

Как образуем отрицательные предложения (negatives):

I/we/you/they   haven’t been   busy/married/(a) friend(s)

Примеры отрицательных (negatives):

  1. I haven’t been married before.
  2. We haven’t been married even a year…
  3. They haven’t been married before. Have they?
  4. You haven’t been married before. Have you?
